Craig Breen (IRL) with his Peugeot 207 S2000 win the first stage of Rally Liepaja - Ventspils. The second position is for the Finland driver Jari Ketomaa with Ford Fiesta S2000. The snow rally starts with mix surface of snow, ice and gravel and temperatures around zero. The second stage called Volkswagen 1 with 16.88 km distance again is win by Craig Breen followed by Russian driver Alexey Lukyanuk with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.
The domination of Craig Breen continue in stage 3 LDz Cargo 1 18.68 km while Francois Delecour is second.

Ketomaa: I have to say it's not easy. Too fast in the dark, sometimes it's scary. Road is frozen, that is good.
Breen:  I just can't believe it. Everything is like the dream. I'm happy for this opportunity to be here and lead this rally is superb. Conditions are tough, but I like it.
Lukyanuk: We had few moments, almost went off. Lost some seconds.
