Sebastien Ogier wins Rally Australia 2013

In the last day of Rally Australia in SS 17 Mikko Hirvonen finsihed 0.1 seconds faster than Sebastien Ogier. Ogier wins the the follow two stages ahead the service park. Mikko Hirvonen is second in the overall far at 53.3 seconds, while Thierry Neuville is third at +1:22.8. In the next two stages Ogier again finished at the top. In the last stage SS 22 Shipmans 2 with a distance of 29.44 km the stage is also a "Power Stage" Mikko Hirvonen lost the second position overall. Mikko finished 7th in the stage at +58 seconds slower than the winner Sebastien Ogier.

2. T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul +2.8        - 2 Pts.
3. E. Novikov / I. Minor +9.4            - 1 Pt.

2. T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) +1:32.1
3. M. Hirvonen / J. Lehtinen (Citroen DS3 WRC) +2:02.1
4. J. Latvala / M. Anttila (Volkswagen Polo R WRC) +2:57.4
5. M. Ostberg / J. Andresson (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) +3:17.2
6. A. Mikelsen / P. Nagle (Volkswagen Polo R WRC) +3:37.6
Sebastien Ogier comments: “The team told me at the finish line that I had missed the title by one point because Mikko had a problem. I tried my best. The most important thing is that we did another perfect rally and we thought it was OK for the title, but it can’t be written down yet. When you do a perfect job like that you expect to get it, but it’s going to happen soon.”
