The mechanics worked on the cars set up while the drivers completed the first day of recce. Tomorrow Service Park gates will be open to the public.

 

Today was no time for secrets and all the teams that will compete at the 4th. Round of the FIA World Rally Championship 2016 in Argentina showed their cars in the Service Park located in Villa Carlos Paz.

Mechanics were working in a relaxed atmosphere but with the same professionalism as usual, getting the machines ready for the beggining of the competition. Meanwhile, drivers completed the first day of recce.

Priority 1 and 2 drivers were able to do two passes on SS2 and SS6 (Soconcho – Villa del Dique), SS3 and SS7 (Amboy – Santa Mónica), SS4 and SS8 (Santa Rosa – San Agustín), SS17 (Mina Clavero – Giulio Césare) and SS16 and SS18 (El Cóndor – Copina).

Instead, Priority 3 and Non Priority drivers did two passes through SS10 and SS13 (Villa Bustos – Tanti), SS11 and SS14 (Los Gigantes – Cantera Condor), SS12 and SS15 (Boca del Arroyo – Bajo del Pungo ), Shakedown (Villa Carlos Paz – Cabalango) and SS5 and SS9 (SSS FERNET BRANCA).

The recce will continue tomorrow.

Haydden Paddon (Hyundai Motorsport): “Some nice and rough stages, like a bumpy Finland in places. We have a lot of information in our pace notes”.

Marcos Ligato (PH Sport – RUS): “The stages of this year are great for me because I love fast sections. Sunday will be the trickiest day for all of us. If we are able to fight, we will fight, but if not, we will try to finish the competition”.

Tomorrow the fans will be able to enter Service Park

YPF Rally Argentina 2016 Service Park will be open for the fans tomorrow at 1pm.

The party begins on Thursday

The engines will start roaring at 8:00 am with the Shakedown (Villa Carlos Paz – Cabalango). The time for truth will be at 7pm with the Córdoba City Super Special Stage around the Civic Center.
