The 36th edition of the most passionate world rally  had an incredible start in the night of the Cordoba City Super Special across the Civic Centre. Along a short but demanding stage, approximately 30,000 people  were amazed at the WRC power and the talent of the best world drivers.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20) and  Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen Polo R), the fastest along the 1km and a half of the stage, tied in their times so they had to share the victory. Others that scraped the victory at the beginning of the YPF Rally Argentina 2016 were Ott Tanak ( Ford Fiesta RS) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20). The Estonian ended at 0s1 from the winners while the belgium ended at 0s3.
Another driver who did a great job was  Hayden Paddon. The Newzealander, who was the fastest in the Shakedown on the stage Villa Carlos Paz – Cabalango, ended the  Super Special on the fifth place at 0s7 from the winners.
Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen, the other two representatives from the Volkswagen Motorsport team, lost precious time in a section and that is why they were not seen  in the first positions. Marcos Ligato was not that lucky. The engine of the Citroën DS3 stalled at the start not being able to fight for the victory. He ended 12th  among the WRC.

WRC2: Fuchs defeated  Evans in an amazing hand in hand

The peruvian Nicolas Fuchs bet it all to the power of his Skoda R5 to win the Cordoba City SS1 by barely0s2 over Elfyn Evans. The Brit got a surprising podium in the 2015 edition in the WRC and will be the candidate until the end of the rally. The Qatar driver Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, who has already won the 2014 WRC2 in Argentina, ended third.
