Ogier did the imposible before the Power Stage cutting off 27s2 the overall gap to be just 2s6 behind leader Paddon. Considering the results of first two stages of the day, it seemed that New Zealand driver would not hold the pressure and French would win in Argentina for first time in his career, but that didn’t happen.

Hyundai Motorsport driver pushed hard as ever in the last 16,32kms stage and shuttered Ogier being 11s7 faster. Paddon achieved his first WRC beating the three-time world champion. Volkswagen Motorsport driver Ogier and Mikkelsen completed the podium.

As for Power Stage, Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20) and Ogier completed top3, winning 2 and 1 extra point for the championship.

Marcos Ligato (Citroen) had a high level and finished in 8th place. He finished 7th in overall 9m39s2 behind the winner and just 9s7 behind sixth Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20).

WRC2: Evans won the Power Stage. Nicolas Fuchs won the rally. The 2016 edition podium was completed by Hubert Ptaszek and Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari.
