Told to be one of the hardest one to predict, Rally Sweden kicked off for real with a day that proved to be an exceptional one for two drivers: Thierry Neuville and Pontus Tidemand.

Both driving the best runs of their lives, so far, showing the rest of the competition that they’re “in it to win it”(to quote an old American Idol judge) for real this time.

Neuville edged five stage wins out of the total seven, absolutely crushing it on SS7 where he really left the others behind.
Tidemand didn’t have any plans on being any less impressive, also edging five stage wins, leaving for the night with a comfortable lead.

But, don’t think for a second that the others are gonna let them off easy.
The four time champ was really struggling out in the fresh snow, but tomorrow is another day – anyone wanna bet against that he will show something completely different then?
