Daniel Sordo is on the way to set the best rally in his career. The first not full year for MINI in WRC is on the way to be very successful. Dani Sordo leads after day 1 of Rally France. The Spanish man takes the lead by Petter Solberg who remains second at +1.0 seconds. Petter Solberg said that is a perfect rally for his team and he drive carefully to avoid any punctures. Sebastien Ogier said that at it places the car not feel good and lost power. Ogier remain third at +2.8 seconds.

After the very difficult SS7 Pays d'Ormont 2 (36km) Petter Solberg takes the lead. Sebastien Ogier down to second place at +2.6 seconds. Third place for Dani Sordo at +3.0 seconds. Kris Meeke is forth at +41.8. The Ford driver Jari-Matti Latvala is fifth at +1:15.9, sixth is Hirvonen at +1:20.1. Latvala fights and win stage 4 of Rally France after his delay in stage 3. Latvala set the fastest time in stage 4 Salm 1 13.06 km. Dani Sordo is also fight for the podium place even for the win of the rally. After stage 4 and ahead the service park the results are as follow:

The longest rally stage 36 km Pays d'Ormont 1 is a real challenge for all drivers. Sebastien Loeb is the first who out of the rally with an engine problem. He stopped at about 27 km from the start and 9 km from the final. It is expecting to restart the rally tomorrow. Mikko Hirvonen also in a trouble during the SS3. He lost more than 49 seconds during the stage. He explains: I just went off a few kilometres from the start. There was so much mud in the wheel, the whole car was vibrating so much that I can’t see outside. The car was jumping, it was very difficult to drive. Really stupid. I am really far behind now, I have to step on it to get some points. The Ford teammate Jari-Matti Latvala also went off the road. He has a problem with the soft tyre and back on the road with the help of the spectacles. Kimi Raikonnen makes a very stupid mistake. Sebastian Loeb won the first stage of Rally France 2011, while the second stage Ungersberg 1 (15.45km) Sebastian Ogier set the best time. In the overall standing Loeb is first while Ogier is second at only +0.1 seconds. Jari-Matti Latvala is third at +5.3 seconds, forth is Petter Solberg at +5.4 seconds, and fifth is the Mini driver Daniel Sordo at +6.1 seconds. The asphalt specialist Dani Sordo is expecting to set a podium rally. The only one with chances to break the Sebastian Loeb title Mikko Hirvonen started the rally slower and currently is sixth at +7.3 seconds and the Sordo teammate Kris Meeke is seventh at +10.9 seconds.
