BYD has started selling the Yangwang super sedan: 1,300 horsepower and a unique chassis. In China, at the Guangzhou Auto Show, they opened the acceptance of applications for the Yangwang U7, the third model in the luxury brand's lineup. BYD showed the interior of the four-door car and shared additional information about the technology. It is curious that pre-orders for the Yangwang U7 are accepted with a deposit of 20,000 yuan (2.8 thousand dollars), but there is no price list or start date for deliveries yet.
The appearance and main characteristics of the Yangwang U7 were revealed in February, but deliveries of the sedan were delayed. The 5.3-meter-long car has an outstanding aerodynamic drag coefficient (Cx = 0.195), a four-motor e4 power plant and giant lithium-iron-phosphate batteries with a capacity of 135.5 kilowatt-hours. It is not surprising that the electric car weighs 3.1 tons!
The electric version has a range of 720 kilometers (CLTC), 0-100 acceleration takes 2.9 seconds, and braking from 100 km / h to a complete stop occurs in 33 meters. The pride of the car is the all-wheel steering chassis with a 20-degree rear axle rotation and variable-ratio steering: the turning radius is only 4.85 meters! The super sedan also features a DiSus-Z suspension with electric shock absorbers instead of hydraulic ones. The chassis adjustment occurs in just 0.01 seconds.

Chinese journalists believe that the electric Yangwang U7 will cost at least one million yuan (138 thousand dollars). A hybrid with a smaller battery (52.4 kilowatt-hours), a different body kit, a range of up to 1000 kilometers and an as yet unknown power plant is also expected.
