A 10-second penalty on Evans helped Tanak win the 2022 Ypres Belgium Rally

The last day of Rallye Ypres Belgium 2022 passed without any surprises. As expected Tänak Ott / Järveoja M. (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) kept the leading position and finished as winners in Belgium. Just 5.0 seconds behind them in second place are Evans Elfyn / Martin Scott (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) who had a 10 second penalty and would have been winners in Belgium if not for that penalty. The last place on the podium goes to Lappi Esapekka / Ferm Janne (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) +1:41.6 behind.
Fourmaux Adrien / Coria Alexandre (Ford Puma Rally1) lost 5th position after crashing on stage 19.
Rovanperä K. / Halttunen Jonne (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1) won the Power Stage today and the big losers Neuville T. / Wydaeghe M. (Hyundai i20 N Rally1) managed to reach a modest 3rd place in the Power Stage today.
First in RC2 and 6th overall are Lefebvre S. / Malfoy Andy (Citroën C3 Rally2), who managed to displace yesterday's drivers Mikkelsen A. / Eriksen T. (Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) by 18.1 seconds.
Kalle Rovanperä remains at the top of the general classification with a lead of 72 points over Ott Tanak.
