WRC Rally Argentina 2019 - Power Stage: Ogier climbs back to the podium, Neuville secures the race

Sébastien Ogier (Citroën C3 WRC) was the winner of the Power Stage El Cóndor (16,43km) and profited from the broken tyre of Kris Meeke (Toyota Yaris WRC) which helped him coming back to the podium in the end of the race. In the overall, Thierry Neuville (Hyundai i20 WRC)  secured the victory in the Xion Rally Argentina whose runner up was his teammate Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai i20 WRC).  

The 39° Xion Rally Argentina 2019 had an amazing definition in the most historical stage of the event. There was a massive pack of fans, more than 75 spectators who were waiting for the passing of the cars, and they were greatly thrilled but the show the drivers gave.

Ogier was the most prominent driver in El Cóndor and despite not feeling pleased with the performance of his C3 WRC, he mastered to give an outstanding lecture on driving after getting a time of 13m02s1/10 and lowered six seconds the best time got by Meeke in the first pass for this part.

Apart from his great performance, the French profited from the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT British driver’s delay, who had to do the last five kilometres with a flat tire.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Hyundai i20 WRC) and Neuville got the second and third positions at the Power Stage, while Daniel Sordo (Hyundai i20 WRC) and Ott Tänak (Toyota Yaris WRC), divided the remaining points that they get in tha last stage of each race.

In the overall, Neuville leads with 3h20m54s6/10, over Mikkelsen by 48s4/10. Finally, Ogier got the third position at 1m04s8/10, while  Meeke got the fourth place at 1m06s2/10 from the leader. Latvala completed the first five stages of the Xion Rally Argentina 2019, at 1m21s1/10 away from the winner.
