Andreas Mikkelsen is the rally leader after SS 3 of Rally Sata Acores Portugal. He leads by the first stage of the rally. In the first stage he has a puncture buy lucky at the end of the stage.
Stage number 2 winner is Juho Hanninen who chasing Mikkelsen during the all stages of day 1. The stage was shortening with 10 km due too bad road condition caused by recent rainfalls.
Results after SS 3, end of day 1:
1. A. Mikkelsen 13:53.7
2. J. Hanninen +1.4
3. B. Bouffier +23.0
4. B. Magalhaes +29.9
5. S. Wiegand +52.0
6. R. Moura +53.7
For tomorrow is schedule 6 stages as the longest day stage is almost 24 km.

Andreas Mikkelsen wins Rally Cyprus 2011 and the championship title for 2011. The Norvegian is the youngest driver who wins the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. He wins with one and a half point only ahead the Czech star Jan Kopecky. Mikkelsen driving Skoda Fabia S2000 for UK Motorsport has all 38 stages win during 2011 season the most of all competitors.
Engine failure stopped Nasser Al-Attiyah who was second during the Saturday midday.

4. K. Kruuda + 4:33.0
5. F. Loix + 5:35.4

Nasser takes stage win. Mikkelsen keeps the leader position

Two of the three morning stages of Rally Cyprus were won by Mikkelsen and one of Al-Attiyah who set the fastest time although his spin two corners before the final. Nasser also out of the road but the terrain was clean and he backs on the road without damages with minimal time lose. Freddy Loix spin and restart the engine about 5-km before the end of the stage. For the stage he loses 36 seconds by the stage winner Nasser.
The rally leader Andreas Mikkelsen said: “It was good, I tried to go clean and tidy, we didn't want to take any risk. I want to keep the rhytm, we are having fun.”
Three stages remain to go.
