Ogier keeps the distance with Loeb in Sweden

Sebastien Ogier shows a brilliant performance and keep the distance to Loeb.
Ogier starts the day with another sage victory. He wins 4 by 8 stages today. In one of the stages he sets equal time with Loeb.
In SS 9 Sagen 1 13.73 km Matthew Wilson rolled in the stage while the sixth in the overall P. Tidemans stopped in the stage.
Sordo comments the Matthew crash: Matthew rolled in the stage, he was too fast in one corner. We want to do some changes to the rear setup. But it's OK.
Latvala wins Stage 10, as in the next 11 stage Loeb set the fastest time and take back 2.7 seconds to Ogier.
In SS 12 Hagfors Sprint 1 1.87 km only Mikko Hirvonen takes the win, as Loeb is second. Loeb comment:  It was more slippery, I did little mistake in a hairpin. I'm more happy than yesterday.
After the service break the rally continue with SS 13 Sagen 2 with equal winning time of Ogier and Loeb.
In SS 14 Fredriksberg 2 18.15 km Mads Ostberg moves to third in overall as Latvala went down to fourth position.
Latvala comment after the stage: For me very difficult conditions, very rough and narrow. I don't know what about it, we'll see.
Ostberg: Quite OK, we are saving tyres fo the next stage.
H. Solberg: Very bad road here, I just drove it carefully.
In SS 15 Rammen 2 22.76 km the both Sebs are separate by 0.4 seconds only. The first is Ogier, third is Ostberg at +5.1 seconds. The stage is mostly gravel instead snow.
Khalid Al Qassimi damages his radiator after the stage.
Ostberg comments: I did a big mistake in the beginning of this stage, after long straight I lost the rear in a corner.
Loeb: In the last hairpin I went on brakes to the ditch, but I lost there only one or two seconds.
Ogier: It wasn't easy, because the tyres started to be more worn, so little bit tricky.
In the last stage the shortest one SS 16 Hagfors Sprint 2 1.87 km Loeb takes the stage victory. In this short stage Juho Hannien out of the road and lost 1 minute and 14 seconds.

Sebastien Ogier extend his advantage to Loeb at the end of the day

Sebastien Ogier wins stage 5, 6 and 7 as the last stage for the day SS 8 win Mikko Hirvonen. By this way Ogier extend his rally lead from 10.9 to 31.4 seconds by Loeb.
Mads Ostberg improve his presentation with second position in Stage 5, 6 and 7.
In SS 6 Varmullsasen 2 23.77 km Dani Sordo lost a lot of time due too out of the road but continue without damages. Jari Ketomaa has a technical problem with driveshaft.
Khalid Al Qassimi was twice out of the road in SS 6 and 7.
Comments:
Ogier: Really good day, happy to finish it. The car was really good today, no needs to change anything.
Loeb:  It was a good day, but we were losing some speed to Ogier. I don't know why, but he is really fast.
Latvala:  We are changing the setup, let's see tomorrow, how it works.

The first half of the day is over. Sebastien Loeb lost the leader position by Sebastien Ogier. In SS Lesjofors 1 15.00 km SS 2, Loeb lost the leader position by VW driver Sebastien Ogier who win the stage and move first overall. Second in the stage and overall is Jari-Matti Latvala team mate to Ogier in VW.
Thierry Neuville also lost his sixth position. The stage is snow with temperatures at -7C.
Stage 2 was very difficult for three top drivers. Mikko Hirvonen out of the road twice in the stage. Matthew Wilson and Khalid Al Qassimi also out of the road. The top Ford driver Mads Ostberg has problems with his engine and lot of overheating.
In the next stage SS 3 Varmullsasen 1 23.77 km Ogier again is the fastest man followed by Mads Ostberg. Latvala lost his second position with delay of 9.2 seconds by Ogier and moved to third overall.
Jarko Nikara is out of the road but continue the rally in the stage 3.
In the overall standing 11th position is for Jari Ketomaa the winner by ERC Rally Liepaja - Ventspils 2013 couple of days ago.
In the last stage before the service park SS 4 Vargasen 1 24.63 km Mads Ostberg set the fastest time followed by Ogier at +0.1 seconds.
Mikko Hirvonen continues the rally with delay of 25 minutes.
Comments:
Loeb:  It was difficult. I did not make any big mistake but driving was not good. Maybe in place where you can lose the car and you are a bit careful. Difficult to find good rhythm and stay on the road.
Ogier:  I am very happy, I still have problem with shifting, but service is coming and I am sure we will fix it.
Ostberg: I had alarm through the stage, it is quite annoying. I tried to push. I cannot do 100%, I am trying all I can. It is trouble for me now, I lost too much time.
Hirvonen: Big improvement, we stayed on the road...
Sordo It was difficult, this stage a little bit less. I change some clicks on suspension. I have more confidence, I have good feeling.
Latvala:  It was much better than in the second stage this morning. I change set-up and had lot more confident to drive. I am happy I am starting to get my confidence back.
Tidemans:  We are happy, with good rhythm, no mistakes. For sure it is my first world rally with WRC car. It is so loose and slippy.

It is interesting to spot that in the top 7 there is only one Citroen those one of Sebastien Loeb who is not with a full program in WRC.

Sebastien Loeb is the fastest in Super Special Stage 1 Karlstad 1 with distance of 1.90 km. The second position is for VW driver Jari-Matti Latvala and Ford driver Evgeny Novikov at +0.5 seconds.

3. E. Novikov +0.5
4. M. Ostberg +0.7
5. M. Hirvonen +0.7

Sebastien Loeb wins Rally Monte Carlo 2013 after accident with spectators. Stage 17 and 18 are cancelled. It is talking about for many spectators on the road. May be also a bad organization cause the stage cancelled.
S. Loeb wins stage 16 followed by Ogier at +4.0 seconds.
Comments: Loeb:  It is really uninteresting to drive on this conditions. There are two lines and if you are going out of lines, you will crash. So I was driving slowly in the lines.
