Petter Solberg is the second manufacture driver in Ford for 2012

Ford and M-Sport reach to 2-years agreement for 2012 and 2013. The team in 2012 will support the leader driver Jari-Matti Latvala and the second driver the Norwegian star Petter Solberg the world rally champion for 2003.

Petter Solberg and his co-driver Chris Patterson will drive Ford Fiesta RS WRC. The contract is for 1-year and all 13 rounds. Petter Solberg was a part of Ford in 1999 when he left the team to join in Subaru Team.

Petter Solberg place in Ford was opened when Mikko Hirvoven moved into Citroen Total Rally Team while Sebastien Ogier changed Citroen with the new entry team of Volkswagen in WRC.

The Finland driver left Ford and joins in Citroen Total World Rally Team together with his co-driver Jarmo Lehtinen. Mikko Hirvonen together with the 8-times world rally champion Sebastien Loeb will be the strongest rally team. The free place for Mikko was opened when Sebastien Ogier moved into the new team of Volkswagen. At the same time Petter Solberg is a step closer to be a manufacture driver in Ford together with Jari-Matti Latvala.

Sebastien Ogier moves in Volkswagen in 2013. Volkswagen debut in WRC will be in 2013 with Polo R WRC. Ogier will spend the year 2012 in Volkswagen team to develop the car for the rally. Sebastien Ogier will rally in Volkswagen with his co-driver Julien Ingrassia. The second driver in Volkswagen is still not know as is talking about for Mikko Hirvonen, jari-Matti Latvala, Petter Solberg and the young stars Kevin Abbring, Andreas Mikkelsen, Christian Riedemann and Hans Weijs.

“Volkswagen is the number one in Europe and will soon be number one in the world. I’m sure that they’re going to compete with the goal of clinching the WRC title. And I’m happy to be part of this from the outset, said Sebastien Ogier.

Jari-Matti Latvala wins Rally Wales 2011. The Finland man award spirit of the Rally also. The power stage was won by Sebastien Ogier followed by Daniel Sordo and Jari-Matti Latvala third.
Sebastien Loeb is the new old champion for eight times. The Citroen drivers not finished the rally but Mikko Hirvonen retires allow him to win the title for 2011.

Henning and Kris fight for the last podium place

Latvala is the rally leader ahead the Power Stage. The Finland man wins stage 21 followed by Ogier and lost 22 by Ogier. The fight for the last podium place is the most interesting part by the end of the rally. Henning successfully keeps the place ahead the power stage with 1.8 second advantage only. Henning lost 11 seconds by Kris Meeke by stage 22 Crychan 2 (22.73km).
