Latvala leads after morning stages

The rally drivers go to the service park now. After the morning round Latvala continue to lead after Loeb retired. Latvala set 2 consecutive stage wins while Ogier takes the last stage win for the morning with just 0.2 seconds.

J. Latvala talk after he learns the news for Loeb retires: “Very shocking news, we have backed off little bit.”
M. Ostberg: “The car is OK now, it's down the power, but it works. I'm sorry for Loeb.”
H. Solberg: “I do what I can, we will see.”

Sebastien Loeb is out of Rally Wales 2011 after a road accident. Loeb and Elena are uninjured. A spokesperson for the Citroen Total World Rally Team: “The other car was coming towards Seb and Dani on the wrong side of the road. It’s not possible to make repairs, they are out of the rally.”
In spite Loeb out of the rally he is a world champion for 2011 after Hirvonen out of the rally yesterday.

1. J. Latvala 2:59:53.1
2. M. Ostberg +3:15.3
3. H. Solberg +6:27.8
4. K. Meeke +6:50.4
5. M. Wilson +8:07.2

K. Block: “It was really fun stage. I want to enjoy my Sunday drive.”
D. Sordo: “The tarmac was really dirty and slippery, everybody was cutting so the mud was coming out.”
E. Novikov: “The tarmac was very difficult for me. I didn't know, where the grip would be good and where the first car cut.”
K. Meeke: “Lot more grip than at any stage before.”
H. Solberg: “I try my best, the stage was very nice.”
M. Ostberg:” The stage was very nice, it was enjoyable. We are now driving safely and securing the third position. We still have engine problems.”

Jari-Matti Latvala is the rally leader after day 3 of Rally Wales 2011. He is 6.1 seconds faster than Loeb after all 17 stages.
Driver’s comments:
Dani Sordo: “I tried to drive correctly. But we had good rhytm, I'm quite happy today.”
S. Ogier: “This one was very slippery, the grip is quite bad.”
E. Novikov: “Not so bad, this stage was better than the other, with better grip. I'm feeling good.”
K. Meeke: “I made a few mistakes in here, we will see tomorrow.”
M. Ostberg: “I was told by the team to use only high revs. I can't stop the engine becuse it might be not restarted.”
S. Loeb: “I can't do anything. Latvala is really good.”
J. Latvala: “It's been going really well today. Tomorrow morning I'll need clear head.”

2. S. Loeb +6.1
3. M. Ostberg +2:43.9
4. H. Solberg +5:35.0
