Latvala closes the gap with Loeb after the end of day 2. Latvala takes 4 consecutive wins in the last 4 stages of day 2. Loeb continue lead but with +1.1 seconds only.

K. Meeke: “This stage we cought dark again, but I'm quite happy for today.”
K. Raikkonen: “We thought we had a puncture, but there is something with the steering.”
M. Ostberg: “The car is feeling perfect all the day today. I think we did a good job inside. I enjoy it.”
P. Solberg: “We tried to keep up and push. It's difficult, but it's fun. The podium is our target.”
J. Latvala: “I was struggling today, but now we got a good feeling now and I tried to push.”
S. Ogier: “It's difficult to find the motivation, we are not on our normal speed.”

MikkoHirvonen went off the road as damage the rear wheel and the radiator. The car overheats and he stopped for that. Hirvonen probably will have a problem to come back to the service that is 103 km away by the end of the last stage. MikkoHirvonen car damages push him to retire by day 2. Hirvonen will rejoin tomorrow under super rally system. Mikko is currently at 13th position at +3:52.2 by the rally leader SebastienLoeb.

MikkoHirvonen stopped in SS7Dyfnant 1 (21.34km) at 10 km by the start. After a break of 2-3 minutes he continues with the stage. Hirvonen lose 3 minutes and 52 seconds as in overall standing moved down. The chances for Mikko for the rally win are over with that the chances for the title are minimal. MikkoHirvonen takes the rally leader position after the shortest day stage SS6Dyfi East 1 (6.72km). The battle stage by stage split for split is full. Hirvonen was fastest on stage 6 with 1.7 seconds ahead SebastienLoeb. In the overall standing Hirvonen is 0.4 seconds ahead Loeb.
In stage 5 DaniSordo stopped.
