Fiuggi, Saturday 21st July 2018 - A very long and intense day for the 6th Rome Capital Rally, a race organized by Motorsport Italia valid for the Italian Rally Championship and for the FIA ‚Äč‚ÄčEuropean Championship, which has seen a series of ongoing withdrawals and problems that hit some of the favorites for the victory, and that consequently have affected both the European and the Italian rankings. The Russians closed leading the absolute ranking. The general ranking of the rally sees the foreign drivers participating in the ERC at the moment prevailing on the Italian drivers, but the bad luck has stopped first Umberto Scandola, breaking the transmission of his Skoda Fabia R5, and then Simone Campedelli, Ford Fiesta R5 who had to withdraw after a double puncture, cutting off from the race two drivers who had proven to be able to aim for victory.

Leading the general ranking, the Russians Lukyanuk and Arnautov on the Ford Fiesta R5, currently second in the European Championship, which preceded Giandomenico Basso, Skoda Fabia R5, and the German Fabian Kreim. Grzyb-Wrobel (Skoda Fabia R5) a 41.8; 5. Andreucci-Castiglioni (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) a +48.0; 6. Magalhaes-Magalhaes  (Skoda Fabia R5) a 1’11.9; 7. Nordgren-Suominen (Skoda Fabia R5) a +1’25.7; 8. Ingram-Whittock (Skoda Fabia R5) a 2’06.5; 9. Rusce-Farnocchia (Ford Fiesta R5) a +2’11.9; 10. Ahlim- Sjoberg (Skdoa Fabia R5) a +2’18.4.
